Tony nominations for the 64th Annual Tony Awards were just announced today, May 4th, and La Cage Aux Folles earned a whopping 11, the most nominations of any other production this season. It was nominated for Best Musical Revival, Best Leading Actor (Kelsey Grammer), Best Leading Actor (Douglas Hodge), Best Direction of a Musical (Terry Johnson), Best Featured Actor (Robin De Jesus), Best Choreography (Lynne Page), Best Orchestrations (Jason Carr), Best Scenic Design (Tim Shortall), Best Costume Design (Matthew Wright), Best Lighting Design (Nick Richings), and Best Sound Design (Jonathan Deans).
